Dr Alev Kir. Dr Kir is researcher at Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Politics (GDAR) (1996-continuing). She leads the institution’s organic research, on-farm projects since 1999. She is agronomist and particularly focused on soil fertility and plant nutrition, fertilisation of organic open field vegetables, survey, collection, agro-morphologically characterization and utilization of vegetable and legume plant genetic resources under sustainable management systems (OF and GAP). Dr Kır has an agricultural engineering degree and BSc and PhD in Philosophy from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. Dr Barbaros Cetinel Dr Cetinel is researcher at Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Politics (GDAR) Plant Protection Research Institute (Izmir) at Fruits and Vineyard Diseases Lab. His research interest is on Fruits and Vineyard Fungal Diseases. He is leading several research activities including “Investigation on Effectiveness of Different Fungicide Application Times and A Forecasting Model For The Control of Olive Leaf Spot (Spilocaeaoleaginea (Cast.)) Dr Hatice Sevim Turan Dr Turan was graduated from Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science in 1991 and worked at Uludağ University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil. Since 2000 she has been working in the Department of Plant Nutrition and Soil-Water Resources at the Olive Research Institute.
